Summer Term

What a year! We are all so ready for some fun in the sun… The children have been brilliant and Summer Term is as busy as ever!

Our English learning progresses to our Time Shift novel which is Wonder by R.J Palacio. The class will cover a range of text types including recounts, narrative writing, biographical writing and poetry including poems with imagery. We will also revisit and revise the GaPS learning for year six. Wonder also links to some of our PSHE learning on transition, expressing opinions, respecting and accepting others. The book centres on the life of a boy with a rare disability who is experiencing growing up and the challenges this presents socially and emotionally. In addition, our RE learning ties in with this as we study the importance of being a Witness and the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
