    Lenterprise- March 2026

The pupils completed their Lenterprise challenges and WOW, what a response! Each class took on a challenge to raise funds or items for their chosen charity and they've done so well. The meaning behind this was that the pupils see that, as Catholics, we support and reach out to those who are vulnerable and in need and this is just what they have done. We are so proud of each and every one of them!

Heart to Heart Coffee Morning- March 2026

During Lent, classes have been following the Heart to Heart campaign for loneliness by SVP. This culminated by hosting a coffee morning in school on Wednesday 25th March where we invited parents and parish members to come to school, have a chat and share a cuppa! This was really well attended and it was lovely to witness the quality interactions between everyone.

    Lenterprise- March 2026

During Lent, we challenged each class to choose a charity or cause of their choice and raise money to support them. They could do this in whatever way they wanted! The classes chose the following charities:

    Meerkats- Maundy Relief

    Ladybirds- CAFOD

    Wallabies-British Heart Foundation

    Rhinos-Prospects

Wolf Cubs- St Carlo Acutis statue fund at church

    Eagles- Maundy Relief

    Dolphins- Cancer Research

    Quackers-Night Safe

    Lobsters-RSPCA

From fun runs to times table hunts, to coffee mornings to crispy cake sales, each class chose an event to take part in and raise money and so they did! The act was actually less about the money raised (even though we know this will be much appreciated) but more about the pupils knowing why we reach out to those less fortunate; because this is what Jesus taught us to do and we follow his example.

    Baby Bank- January 2026

Through the season of Advent we looked forward with hope to the birth of Christ, our thoughts naturally turn to the babies and young children within our own community. At this time of year especially, we are reminded of the Holy Family and of our calling, as a Catholic school, to offer compassion and support to those in need. Sadly, many families locally are facing real hardship, and the suffering of the very young is something that touches us all. On Friday 9th January we collected items for a local baby bank, Snow Drop Doula in Accrington. We had a wonderful response to the collection and the centre were overwhelmed with our donations.

    Poppy Appeal- November 2025

As usual, each November we assist the British Legion in selling poppies and various accessories. Our pupil council do a great job each day of selling these.

Rotary 'Wrap Up' Appeal- Autumn 2025

During the Autumn Term our local Rotary group run a 'wrap up' appeal where they ask for donations of coats, hats, scarves, gloves and bedding for those who are homeless. We always have amazing donations for this and this year was no different and even needing us to ask for more bags! Thank you to all who donated!

    Young Minds- October 2025

On Friday 10th October we raised money for the Young Minds Mental Health charity as we do each year. We all worse something yellow and learnt about how we can support our own wellbeing and that of those around us. We raised a super £135, fantastic!

    Harvest Day- 3rd October 2025

On Friday 3rd October we invited pupils to bring a donation for the local Churches Together Foodbank In Oswaldtwistle. What a response we had! We were overwhelmed with donations! Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity. The foodbank will be so grateful for our support. We understand who important it is to teach our pupils to help others, especially those local to ourselves.

    MacMillan Coffee Afternoon- September 2025

On Friday 26th September we held our annual Macmillan Coffee Afternoon. This afternoon is always so lovely as our first charitable event of the school year and a great opportunity for families to chat to one another and catch up. Our wonderful pupil council helped set up and serve and everyone had a great end to the week whilst raising money for a fabulous cause. We raised £287!

Singing for Springhill Care Home- June 2025

Mr Kimberly and Ms Anderton visited Springhill Care Home this afternoon along with our guitar club and some lovely singer from Lobsters to perform songs for the residents! As always the children had a great time and were superstars!
