Jubilee Events in School

Jubilee Anchor- November 2025

On Monday 3rd November we received the Jubilee anchor from Saint Anne's and Saint Joseph's RC Primary School. Our pupil GIFT team welcomed their pupils and we took the anchor into our school.

On Tuesday 4th November we held a whole school celebration of the Word. Classes had all made anchor chains, writing on how they can be pilgrims of hope. During the Celebration of the Word, we joined our class anchor chains together to make a large school anchor chain. All pupils also walked over the 'water' and touched the anchor stating "I am a pilgrim of Hope".

On Wednesday 5th November, our pupil GIFT Team carried the anchor up to Mount Carmel RC High School. We were welcomed ay Mount Carmel by pupils and staff. Mr Davies shared with us his recent trip to Rome and how he had seen the Holy Doors. He also showed us photographs.

Jubilee Pledge

All pupils in school made a jubilee pledge for the Year of Hope which we shared during our Celebration of the Word together. You can read some of the pledges below:

Jubilee Hymn- July 2025

We have been busy learning the Jubilee Hymn over the last few weeks. The children sound amazing with their singing and this hymn is becoming a favourite!

Jubilee Mass- June 2025

On Friday 27th June we joined other primary schools in our parish to celebrate the Year of Hope. Father O'Brien celebrated a special Mass for us all where we read special readings, bidding prayers and took special item to the offertory.

Jubilee Prayer Cards- June 2025

As part of the Year of Hope, all pupils in school made Jubilee prayer cards. These were taken to Church where Father O'Brien will distribute them to parishioners. All the prayer cards really got the message across of Hope and what this means for us as Catholics.

Our Lady Of Fatima Pilgrimage- May 2025

During May 20205, we held a pilgrimage in school for Our Lady of Fatima, who's feast day is 13th May. Pupils took time out of their day to explore the pilgrimage set up in the playground and on the sensory pathway. Pupils learnt about Our Lady of Fatima and what made her so very special. Father O'Brien also came into school and spoke to pupils about Our Lady of Fatima.

Our Lady of Lourdes Pilgrimage

On Tuesday 11th February we held a mini pilgrimage around our school grounds to celebrate the feast of Our Lady of Lourdes. Pupils blessed themselves with Holy water then made their way to the labyrinth on the playground and walked the sensory path taking in the images and prayers along the way.

Sponsored Smile

Our Reception pupils in Meerkat's Class held a sponsored smile on Thursday 13th February. Their challenge was to give 50 smiles during the day. They raised money for the charity DKMS to fund research to give others hope.
