St.Mary's School Choir

Our KS2 choir meet weekly with Miss Quinn to sing new songs and practice old favourites.  Throughout the year the choir is invited to perform at a number of events and the children love to show off their talents.

Events at which the choir will perform this coming school year include:

Mount Carmel Carol Service:

In December the choir will join other schools in the Mount Carmel cluster to perform songs to celebrate the season

Spring Hill House residential home:

Each year the children visit the elderly at our local residential home.  As well as singing songs, last year the choir raised money to buy Christmas presents to take them on our visit

Festival of Music (March)

One of the most exciting musical events of the year is the Choir performance at the annual Rotary 'Festival of Music' on the stage at the Oswaldtwistle Civic Theatre.  In front of a paying audience the children perform songs they have been practicing throughout the year.

Funds raised at this event have, in the past, been used to buy new musical equipment for school.

Whole School Singing

At St.Mary's we love singing together and we do this all the time!

On Wednesday afternoons we come together for Hymn practice where we perfect our hymns and songs to share with parents at Friday assembly.
